Southern Marine Construction Company was established in 1962 to serve the needs of marine construction in the Southeast and Midwest.
 Based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Southern Marine concentrates on Marine projects within a 400 - mile radius. Basic crews live in the Chattanooga area and commute weekly to the job sites. Jobs range from minor repairs to $10,000,000.00 bonded projects on the Ohio, Cumberland, Tennessee, Mississippi, Tombigbee, Warrior, Alabama and Chattahoochee Rivers.
 Southern Marine's top management boasts more than 100 years of marine experience. Peter
Serodino Jr., President, has been active in marine projects for 26 years. Senior superintendent
Robby Lane with 23 years experience heads up the roster of field managers with on the
job experience in all types of Marine Construction. Sheetpile cells, Z-pile walls, water intakes, outfall lines, river crossings, underwater rock excavation and salvage are our specialties. Our years of experience have afforded volumes of practical design, which, when combined with Southern Marine's Professional Engineering staff, create a marine design capability unsurpassed on the inland rivers. We work with an owner from site evaluation through conceptual design to detail design, to drawings and specifications. Our full service approach fills the gap between a plant or shore side engineer and the waterfront.
